As a native of Asheville, NC, I find that helping others explore real estate also gives me the opportunity to share my passion for this area. I’m always looking for the next adventure, whether it is discovering hidden waterfalls, experiencing talented local theatre or tasting new culinary delights. And I’m always eager to share my discoveries.
In 2003, I made my first venture into real estate as an onsite sales executive for The Cliffs at Walnut Cove®, one of eight Cliffs golf course communities in the Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina region. Over a five-year period, I became an expert on The Cliffs and worked hard to maintain that expertise, both as a real estate professional and as property owner. Prior to that, I had a fifteen-year career in sales and sales management for a national manufacturer of document management systems, working in Asheville and Tampa, Florida.
Energetic and enthusiastic, I am diligent in my quest for knowledge. I recently completed the GRI (“Graduate, REALTOR® Institute”), an important real estate designation that requires 90 hours of classroom instruction. Only 19% of all realtors earn this distinction. By continually seeking local real estate knowledge and professional education, I continue to set myself apart as a leader in the Asheville and Western North Carolina market.

My goal is to use my hard-earned skills to find you the Western North Carolina home of your dreams. As a marketing and sales professional, I have a history as a top sales executive in private and gated communities. I serve on numerous real estate boards, including WNC, Asheville, Yancey and Mitchell counties. I am heavily networked throughout the United States with other real estate agents, building professionals, and people from all walks of life. I pride myself on my reputation as the “go to” person when it comes to seeking information and services. I can find you a housekeeper, plumber, carpenter, graphic designer, or even a stock broker.
I was born and raised in Iowa, where I learned the value of small-town living and a hard day’s work by running a very successful photography business for 26 years. I was the portrait photographer for Mountain Air Country Club in Burnsville from 1995-2006. During that time, I watched that community grow and prosper into one of the most accomplished private communities in the WNC region, and I subsequently became their top sales person. I still have several friends and clients on the mountain and truly know that mountain as well I know my own back yard. Mountain Air served as a model for many other gated communities in WNC. The knowledge I gained while working there has helped me assist my clients in choosing the appropriate community that best fits their needs. I am familiar with many communities in the WNC area and can assist you, too, in narrowing your search for your family’s mountain home.
I have lived in Weaverville, North Carolina, for over 17 years and feel like a lifelong resident in the beautiful mountains that I love and cherish. My young professional daughter works in Asheville, having graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a degree in Graphic Design.
I have a soft spot in my heart for children and animals, and a love for exploring new areas of our beautiful mountains and the neighboring communities. I am currently involved in Children First in Asheville, and started the Bedtime Buddy program at Mission St. Joe’s Hospital. I also developed a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society for breast cancer called “Clues, Karats and Grapes”. I have been on several boards of directors, including the Chamber of Commerce in my hometown and the Muscatine Community College Foundation Board.
